Newswise — Washington, D.C. – March 17, 2015 – The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) welcomed Ceara N. Flake as its Director of Legal Affairs, a new position within the organization, which represents the U.S. cleaning products industry.

She will report to Douglas Troutman, ACI General Counsel and Vice President, Government Affairs.

Ms. Flake has served as a contract attorney on behalf of a range of multinational corporations, including AT&T, U.S. Airways and The 3M Company; an adjunct professor at Howard University’s School of Legal Communication and the District of Columbia School of Law; an associate attorney at Temple Law Offices in Washington, D.C.; and a Judicial Law Clerk at the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“Ceara Flake’s legal experience and knowledge will strengthen ACI’s ability to operate even more effectively and efficiently in service to its members,” said Troutman.

Ms. Flake received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. magna cum laude in English Literature and Cultural Studies from Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
