Dr. Delores Robinson, associate professor of geological sciences at The University of Alabama, has walked hundreds of kilometers in the Nepal region in her research on Himalayan mountain building.

She is familiar with both the geology and the people of that region.

She is presently in northwest India, about 400 miles from the quake’s epicenter, and is available, via e-mail, to discuss the April 25 earthquake in Nepal, which killed more than 7,000 people.
