General Supreme Court and Constitutional Law Issues David Fontana, associate professor of law, is an expert on constitutional law, politics and the legal system. He can comment on the Supreme Court’s actions and its interactions with other federal courts. Alan Morrison, Lerner Family Associate Dean for Public Interest and Public Service Law, is an expert on public interest law. He has argued 20 cases before the Supreme Court and can discuss the court’s intricacies as well as the prospects of many cases before it. Jeffrey Rosen, professor of law, is an expert on constitutional law. He is the author of “The Supreme Court: The Personalities and Rivalries that Defined America” and can comment on how the Supreme Court may handle different issues.

Same-Sex Marriage

Naomi Cahn, Harold H. Greene Professor of Law, is an expert in family law. She can comment on various legal issues related to marriage, child custody and adoption, employment discrimination, family leave and estates. Joan Schaffner, associate professor of law, is an expert on civil procedure and gay and lesbian legal issues. She can comment on the various ways sexual orientation is considered in the law.

Stephen Forssell, director of GW’s LGBT Health Graduate Certificate Program, can discuss the history of LGBT rights in the U.S., developmental outcomes of children with LGBT parents who are in a legal marriage and the connection between access to marriage rights and health care.

Gregory D. Squires, professor of sociology, and public policy and public administration, is an expert on urban sociology and race relations. He can comment on foreclosures, housing discrimination, housing finance and urban development.
