Newswise — Reston, VA. (Oct. 6, 2015)—Original abstracts showcasing ways to improve clinical skills, business practices and patient care are being accepted for ACR 2016—The Crossroads of Radiology®. The American College of Radiology’s annual meeting will be held May 15–19, 2016, in Washington, D.C.

Diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, medical physicists, residents and fellows may submit abstracts in categories that include Advocacy, Economics and Health Policy; Clinical Education; Informatics and Innovations; Leadership; and Quality and Safety. Online submission begins Oct. 6 and ends at 5 p.m. (Eastern) Jan. 8, 2016.

“ACR 2016 provides members of the radiology community the opportunity to present the latest findings to colleagues and experts in the field—and receive their critical feedback,” noted Cheri Canon, MD, FACR, chair of the ACR 2016 program committee.

Accepted abstracts will be displayed during the meeting in electronic format at ePoster kiosks and made available online after the meeting. Top-rated abstracts in each category will be acknowledged with merit-based awards.
