Newswise — Washington, DC — Early-bird online registration is open for ACR 2016—The Crossroads of Radiology®, the American College of Radiology annual meeting open to all of radiology, May 15–19, 2016, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC.

“The Crossroads of Radiology provides the opportunity to learn new skills, share ideas, extend advocacy efforts, and connect with experts to improve patient care, clinical skills, and business practices,” said ACR Chief Executive Officer William T. Thorwarth Jr., MD, FACR.

The five-day meeting will provide a diverse and flexible program with more than 100 hours of sessions on advocacy, economics and health policy, leadership, clinical education, informatics and innovations, clinical research, ACR governance, quality and safety, plus special sessions for residents, fellows, and early-career physicians. One special event will be Capitol Hill Day, with exclusive meetings scheduled for members to bring the “Voice of Radiology” to elected officials.

“ACR 2016 is the annual meeting the radiology community needs — and only ACR can provide the timely information on economics, policy, legislation and practice improvement needed to shape the specialty’s future,” said Cheri L. Canon, MD, FACR, chair of the ACR 2016 program committee. “ACR 2016 goes beyond offering traditional medical education. Attendees learn how to strengthen their practices and become better health care providers,” she added.

ACR 2016—The Crossroads of Radiology® will be held May 15–19, 2016; the Resident and Fellow Section will meet May 14–15, 2016. Abstract submission is open until Jan. 8, 2016. Questions about registration may be directed via email to [email protected].
