Leonie Huddy, an expert in elections, public opinion and political psychology shares her thoughts regarding Donald Trump's call for a Muslim immigration ban.

"Donald Trump may have finally parted ways with his supporters in suggesting a temporary halt to the entry of all Muslim visitors to the US. There is no doubt that he accurately channels his followers' anger at terrorists. This has been a good way for him to stay in the spotlight. But by staking out the extreme position that he would prevent any Muslim from entering the US he has finally taken a position at clear odds with bedrock American values. This may give pause to even his most ardent follower."
