Newswise — Xavier Siemens joined the faculty at UW-Milwaukee in 2007 and is currently an associate professor of physics. He has been a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration since 2002 and is part of the burst search group and neutron star search group. He currently co-chairs the LSC calibration team.

After earning his Ph.D. from Tufts University in 2002, Siemens spent four years as a postdoctoral research associate at UW-Milwaukee before working for a year at the California Institute of Technology as a senior postdoctoral scholar. [email protected], 414-793-5047
