American Medical Group Association Announces Ginger Figg Appointment to AMGA Public Policy Committee

Newswise — Alexandria, VA -- The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ginger Figg as its newest member of the AMGA Public Policy Committee (PPC). The PPC sets the advocacy and policy agenda for AMGA and works closely with AMGA’s Public Policy Department to develop policy and to advocate for the medical group model.

“We are very pleased that Ginger has joined the PPC,” said Chet Speed, AMGA’s Vice President, Public Policy. “Her leadership role at the Norton Medical Group will provide us with the perspective we need to successfully advocate for the medical group model in Washington, D.C.”

Ms. Figg serves as the Chief Administrative Office at Norton Medical Group, a division of Norton Healthcare, which is an integrated health system in Louisville, Kentucky. During Ms. Figg’s tenure at Norton Medical Group, the number of providers has increased from 35 to 750. These providers practice in primary, specialty, and urgent care in more than 120 locations in Kentucky. She also has served in leadership roles in two other Kentucky health systems. Figg earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in health services management from Webster University.
