Newswise — March 22, 2016 – The International Anesthesia Research Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Hans-Joachim Priebe has accepted the position of Executive Editor of A&A Case Reports, a peer-reviewed online journal focused on sharing and discussion of informative clinical cases in anesthesiology, critical care and pain management.

Dr. Priebe is Professor Emeritus of Anesthesia at Albert-Ludwigs-University Frieburg, Germany. In addition to his distinguished history as a clinician, educator, and researcher, Dr. Priebe is known as a frequent topical reviewer and commentator on current issues in anesthesia practice.

A&A Case Reports is a digital journal dedicated to reporting patient cases that make an important teaching point or scientific observation in disciplines related to anesthesiology: perioperative medicine, critical care, and pain management. New cases are published twice monthly.

An online companion to the flagship journal Anesthesia & Analgesia, A&A Case Reports is accessible to IARS members via the journal website. An iPad edition is available on the popular Anesthesia & Analgesia app.

"It's an honor to be appointed editor of this valuable and popular resource for anesthesiologists," Dr. Priebe comments. "A&A Case Reports has rapidly become an important venue for sharing and discussion of clinical experiences for anesthesia professionals around the world, as we strive to meet our common goal of providing the best possible care and outcomes in the operating suite, the ICU, and the pain clinic."

Dr. Priebe and the Editorial Board encourage readers to consider writing up and sharing their most interesting and informative cases with their anesthesia colleagues.
