Newswise — Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright says he created Bitcoin, publicly identifying himself as Satoshi Nakamoto. Cornell University computer science professor Emin Gun Sirer is a world-renowned expert on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin and in December 2015 wrote about the possibility of Craig Wright being the Bitcoin founder in the article “How to Spot Satoshi”. He says this reveal looks like a deliberate attempt to mislead.

Sirer says: “We have yet to see proper cryptographic proof. Even with cryptographic proof, there's still the possibility that the real Satoshi's keys may have been compromised or reverse-engineered. But we have not even seen that yet. What we've seen looks like a deliberate attempt to mislead.”
