Newswise — CLEVELAND -- University Hospitals has announced the appointment of Robyn H. Strosaker, MD, as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at UH Case Medical Center. Her appointment will become effective June 1.
The announcement was made by Daniel I. Simon, MD, President of UH Case Medical Center, and Michael R. Anderson, MD, who has held the dual positions of CMO for UH Case Medical Center and the UH system. Dr. Anderson will remain in the system CMO position.
As the CMO of UH Case Medical Center, Dr. Strosaker will lead major initiatives including high-reliability medicine, quality and safety, patient advocacy, physician relations, and utilization and case management for the academic medical center.
Dr. Strosaker has been a member of the Department of Pediatrics since completing her residency at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in 2004. She earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics.
Her leadership experience includes serving as Director of the Rainbow Acute Care Network, Medical Director of Inpatient Services, Director of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Program, and Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program.
“Dr. Strosaker brings excellent leadership skills and experience to our system,” said Dr. Anderson. “Her knowledge of the medical center, and her interpersonal skills and professional experience will contribute greatly to our continual improvement of access to quality care for our patients in Northern Ohio.”
Dr. Strosaker is a graduate of the UH Leadership Academy and has received multiple honors for clinical and teaching excellence as a member of the UH faculty. She is a member of the American College of Physician Executives and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her professional and community service includes serving as National Co-Leader of the Pediatric Readmissions Prevention Solutions for Patient Safety, and as a member of the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Committee of the UH Board of Directors.
