Newswise — Ocean Medical Center Foundation raised $128,000 during its 26th Annual Golf Classic on June 13 at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle. Led by event chair Rob Harms, this year’s Golf Classic saw a sold out course of 140 golfers compete in the tournament and raise money for the programs and services at Ocean Medical Center.

“It’s been tremendous to see Ocean Medical Center evolve over the years,” explains Harms, CEO of George Harms Construction. “We’ve seen tremendous community support in recent years, such as that surrounding the Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Emergency Care Center. Ongoing support will make it possible to continue with advancements, including the upcoming opening of the cancer care center. There is a sincere comfort in knowing we have access to such great care, close to home.” During the reception, a grateful patient and long-time supporter of Ocean Medical Center gave a heartfelt testimony to the cancer care treatment he received at Ocean Medical Center, recognizing his physician, Nathan Kaufman, M.D., and making the event especially meaningful.

The Golf Classic committee is grateful for the generous support of leadership sponsors this year, which include the Event Sponsor, George Harms Construction Company, and Dinner Sponsors, Ocean Medical Center Medical-Dental Staff, Ralph Clayton & Sons and Walter R. Earle Corporation.
