Saint Joseph’s University election experts from a variety of disciplines — political science, history, religious studies and marketing — are available to comment on the DNCC in Philadelphia and related topics.

Experts include:

Richard Gioioso, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, who specializes in U.S. immigration and racial and ethnic identities, visits Florida and Cuba to conduct research several times a year. He is fluent in Spanish. Gioioso discusses characteristics of the Latino electorate in this video.

Randall Miller, Ph.D., professor of history, who teaches American studies, is a veteran political commentator and analyst who discusses in this video populism and its effect on presidential politics.

Katie Oxx, Ph.D., assistant professor of religious studies, was producer and director of historical content of "Urban Trinity: The Story of Catholic Philadelphia." She comments in this video about the difference between religious and evangelical voters.
