Newswise — CHICAGO - The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and BevMD are pleased to announce the resolution of their outstanding litigation concerning certain statements made by BevMD regarding its preoperative fasting beverage, ClearFast®. Pursuant to a judicial consent decree, BevMD has clarified inaccuracies in its statements that ASA had endorsed or approved it’s preoperative fasting product ClearFast®, and issued it an “ASA seal of compliance.” In fact, as an independent, unbiased, scientific organization, ASA does not endorse or approve commercial products and it does not have a seal of compliance.
