Newswise — ASRA has selected five "Best of Meeting" abstracts and three "Resident/Fellow Travel Award" winners for the 15th Annual Pain Medicine Meeting to be held November 17-19 in San Diego. Topics include brachial plexus blocks, perioperative nausea and vomiting, osteoarthritic knee pain, oral methylnaltrexone, and the effect of HCN channel activity in the thalamus on development of chronic pain. The abstracts were selected from a record total of 293 submitted abstracts, and authors of the selected abstracts will present their findings at the meeting next month. The annual meeting draws about 1,000 physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare experts for education and research on pain medicine.
