Military historian Dr. John C. McManus, an internationally recognized expert in U.S. military history, is available to discuss the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the beginning of U.S. involvement in World War II.

McManus is a Curators’ Distinguished Professor of history and political science at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the author of 12 books on the U.S. role in World War II.

A member of the editorial advisory board at World War II magazine and Global War Studies, McManus was the historical advisor for a PBS documentary titled “The American Road to Victory.” He has received a National Endowment for Humanities Public Scholar Grant Fellowship to help fund research for a two-volume history of the U.S. Army in the Pacific/Asia theater, and in August his book, “Deadly Sky: The American Combat Airman in World War II,” was released in a new paperback edition.
