Newswise — Princeton, NJ—January 9, 2017—The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) recently announced the appointment of three leadership positions in its Global Networks Division. ISPOR’s Global Networks teams work to drive ISPOR’s mission to advance health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) excellence globally.

Julia Chamova, MBA has joined ISPOR as Director, Global Networks–Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Ms. Chamova will lead ISPOR’s EMEA team in the development and execution of strategic plans designed to deliver important services and programs supporting the advancement of HEOR in that region, such as ISPOR’s 20th Annual European Congress scheduled for 4-8 November 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland in addition to initiatives in ISPOR networks and chapters. Prior to joining ISPOR, Ms. Chamova served as Director of Operations for the European network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) at the Danish Health Authority. Ms. Chamova has more than 15 years of professional experience in developing and executing stakeholder involvement and strategic partnerships development in private health care delivery, health technology assessment, health policy, and regulatory environments.

Ramiro Gilardino, MD, MSc was appointed as Director, Global Networks–Latin America. Dr. Gilardino will work with the Society’s Latin America Consortium leadership, committees, chapters, and staff to grow ISPOR’s role in advancing the understanding and use of HEOR in the region. Dr. Gilardino, along with a leadership committee of members, is spearheading the development of the upcoming ISPOR 6th Latin America Conference scheduled for 15-17 September 2017 in São Paulo, Brazil. Prior to joining ISPOR, he served as Health Economics and Market Access Leader for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices where he managed market access strategies for Latin America South countries. Previous roles included serving as the Medical Director of a large Argentinean health maintenance organization and Head of Disease Management for a private payer. Dr. Gilardino received his MD from the Universidad Abierta Interamericana School of Medicine, is Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine from Universidad De Buenos Aires, and Holds a Master Degree in Healthcare Economics and Management.

Robert Selby, MBA was promoted to Director, Global Networks–Asia-Pacific. Mr. Selby leads the Society’s Asia-Pacific membership groups and teams to execute ISPOR’s strategic plan in the region. Previously, he served as Manager on the ISPOR Asia-Pacific team and brings over 10 years of experience in the region’s markets and business culture, as well as fluency in Mandarin Chinese. Mr. Selby played a key role in the development and execution of the highly successful ISPOR 7th Asia-Pacific Conference held in Singapore in 2016.
