Newswise — Reston, VA — Radiologists will gain the knowledge to design and execute their own playbook for sustained practice growth and success at the Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) Summit. Registration is now open for the sixth annual Summit, which will be held Sept. 7–10 at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.

“Like sports teams, radiology teams need coherent systems and processes to succeed in delivering high-quality patient care,” said Alexander M. Norbash, MD, MS, FACR. “By designing a customizable playbook at the RLI Summit, radiologists will develop a process they can customize and adapt to address the inevitable changes and disruptions, which will help drive practice growth and increased quality,” added the RLI Summit program chair.

With the theme, “Build Your Playbook for Peak Practice Performance,” the meeting offers in-depth, hands-on facilitated breakout sessions to provide maximum interaction between faculty and attendees. Sessions include Coaching for Sustainable Change, Lean Operations, Developing Customer Insight and Collective Intelligence of Teams. Interactive panel discussions will focus on two of the biggest challenges facing radiologists—physician burnout and value-based imaging. A case study session explores how artificial intelligence and machine learning will impact the specialty.

RLI faculty members include Norbash; James A. Brink, MD, FACR; Cheri Canon, MD, FACR; C. Matthew Hawkins, MD; Geraldine McGinty, MD, MBA, FACR; and Geoffrey D. Rubin, MD, MBA, FACR. In addition, an outstanding group of business school faculty will head up the program.

The RLI, a program of the American College of Radiology (ACR), delivers progressive leadership and business management training and offers real-world strategies for radiologists to grow and advance in practice. Overview information is available, along with details about registration and the schedule.
