Dr. Janice Coen is a scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. She studies wildland fire behavior and its interaction with weather. Her current work involves modeling the unfolding of large wildfire events, the integration of satellite remote sensing fire detection products into wildfire forecasts, and understanding wildfire behavior and conditions that lead to burnover incidents.
