Staff Position Announcement: Goshen College seeks a graphic designer for its Public Relations
Office. The graphic designer is responsible for the design, graphics
and visual identity for print publications, advertising, displays,
promotional items, and online representations for public relations
projects and those of campus entities, particularly those related to
Admission, Development, Alumni, Church and Parent Relations, campus-
wide public events and areas of student life. Through effective
project processes and advanced design work, the graphic designer
communicates about Goshen College and its people and programs to
targeted audiences in positive, engaging ways, and carefully
maintains consistency in graphic design standards as well as Goshen
College's branding and visual design standards. In this way, the
graphic designer's work is collaborative and high-impact reaching
significant numbers of Goshen College constituents in multiple
mediums with significant, lasting messages. The graphic designer
helps manage high-end projects at all stages. This includes: helping
decide the best ways to communicate through visual design and choices
of mediums; establishing design processes to ensure deadlines are
met; helping organize work and production files; securing bids from
printers and other vendors; supplying adequate files to printers and
other vendors to ensure outstanding finished products; fostering
excellent relationships with vendors to secure the best prices for
the college; and analyzing the results of finished projects as a way
of informing and improving future work. Application review will begin
