StratCommNet Newsletter
Edition # 134
September 2005
StratCommNet is sponsored by Newswise and Simpson Communications

Editor: Christopher Simpson         Publisher: Roger Johnson

This month's issue will not be dedicated solely to the colleges and universities devastated by Hurricane Katrina, but nothing could be more important than the trials and tribulations faced by the likes of Tulane, Loyola, and the University of New Orleans. These institutions are in varying states of disrepair, and their efforts to communicate with key constituents in the last two-plus weeks is a study in compassion and concentration -- though not without some shortcomings, as expected. So in lieu of looking at marketing updates in this issue, we will focus our first section on how these three key universities -- Tulane, Loyola, and the University of New Orleans -- are faring. And we'll note how each is using -- and has used -- its website to communicate with key constituents.

As always, we welcome your feedback. Drop us a line: Christopher Simpson at Simpson Communications at cs@simpson-communications.com and Roger Johnson at Newswise at rjohnson@newswise.com.
