New Newswise Collaboration |
|
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance services for our member
institutions, we are excited to announce a new collaboration with ProfNet
and PR Newswire. This collaboration provides new benefits for both our
contributing members at higher education institutions and our subscribing journalists.*
- When you post your story on Newswise, you now have the option also to
contribute to PR Newswire's premier US distribution for a greatly reduced fee.
- Newswise is also now offering our subscribing journalists access to the ProfNet Query system from our "Expert Finder Tools" section.
*Please note, PR Newswire privileges are only available to higher education institutions
Read more about these benefits at: http://www.newswise.com/special/prfnt_prn/. If you have further questions or comments about any of these new options, please contact us at
434-296-9417 or info@newswise.com.
Newswise continues to strive to help you promote your institution to the
media and to members of the public.
Several participating institutions have already used this new service, and we have received a positive response from others, inclucing the following comments:
"I think this new partnership between Newswise and ProfNet is a great
idea! It will undoubtedly be a valuable and efficient way for institutions
like Gustavus Adolphus College to get additional visibility through media
coverage."
—Stacia Senne, Gustavus Adolphus College
"This is fantastic! It's another value-added feature to Newswise."
—Steven Infanti, Wheeling Jesuit University
"Being able to send releases over PRNewsWire at a bargain price is a great new feature of membership in Newswise, especially for university news operations on a tight budget. I appreciate the innovative thinking of Roger Johnson and his team."
—Mimi Cunningham, University of North Carolina at Wilmington

This is the thirty-fifth edition of the monthly report in which you'll find:
Earlier results
A preliminary report on access counts is now provided for files you've contributed during the most recent month, in addition to a final report on your prior month's activity. This allows you to track both preliminary and longer-range access counts for your stories.
Enhanced context Your reports are now provided within the greater context of this monthly Newswise report, which offers perspectives on your data not previously available, such as studies of how the media access and use Newswise and your stories. We also hope to utilize this "interactive" newsletter as a way of eliciting your suggestions and to acknowledge those who have contributed suggestions.

"I am enjoying Newswise very much. It is a great resource to get ideas and information for some of our FOB pages."
--Lindsey Aspinall, BEST LIFE Magazine |
"I would just like to congratulate you and your team at Newswise. While I was studying at university in 2000 I came across your service and found it invaluable. Now I am working for a major Australian newspaper and the information available is fantastic. It offers a great range of story ideas and invaluable contacts. Being based in Australia is a problem because a vast majority of stories are for American readers but there have been some I have been able to rework for an Australian audience because of the contacts available. Keep up the good work."
--Juris Graney, Macquarie Advertiser |
