The presentations – from around the world - will highlight the technical development of new ingredients or new approaches to evaluating health benefits of a dietary fiber.

Talks on chicory will be delivered by Veerle Dam, PhD of Sensus and Marie-Luise Puhlmann from Wageningen University & Research;

High amylose wheat will be discussed by Katie Harris and Damien Belobrajdic (CSIRO);

Psyllium containing products will be presented by Johnson W. McRorie Jr.;

Measurement of available carbohydrates will be discussed by Barry Mccleary;

Kirstie Canene-Adams, PhD will discuss reformulation modeling;

Thaisa Moro Cantu-Jungles from Purdue University will present on prebiotic dietary fibers and shifts in the gut microbiota;

And, an evaluation of human health safety claims related to dietary fiber using the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (CAERS) will be presented by Derek Drechsel.
