Under her guidance, the Agency strengthened warnings about the dangers of indoor tanning, a landmark step in the fight to safeguard Americans from hazardous tanning beds. Commissioner Hamburg also implemented major changes to sunscreen label requirements, and ingredient approvals, allowing consumers to make more informed choices to protect against harmful sun exposure.
