CHICAGO, December 28, 2020—The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) is proud to partner with Sunstar Americas, Inc., DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement, Henry Schein Dental, the dental division of Henry Schein, Inc. and Henry Schein One for an all-virtual, national event designed to support dental hygienists facing significant challenges and changes in their professional roles.

In an effort to turn uncertainty into opportunity, ADHA developed the summit based on significant oral health care issues that have emerged during the COVID-19 global health crisis. 

For two education-packed days, this virtual event will empower and promote expanded career possibilities as attendees explore different paths for building and sharing their passion for oral health. Dynamic, expert-led panel discussions on a variety of in-demand topics offer an opportunity to earn up to 6 CE. Content will focus on leadership in a range of practice settings, potential career pathways, diversity and inclusion, advancing in education, and association leadership and more. 

Summit highlights include discussions on:

  • Overcoming obstacles and getting on the right path to safe dentistry in the COVID-19 era
  • Reviewing the latest research, symptoms and EVALI treatment around smoking nicotine, marijuana, E-cigarettes and vaping
  • Becoming an advocate for patients and the dental care team, and the added importance of leadership during a pandemic
  • Lessons learned from COVID-19 and how we can best respond to a global health crisis moving forward 
  • Utilizing emotional intelligence to redefine goals and achieve career and self-fulfillment
  • Implementing recent clinical compliance changes into a sustainable program
