Newswise — The American Neurological Association (ANA), the professional organization representing the nation’s top academic neurologists and neuroscientists, today released a list of the most-accessed articles of 2018 in its Annals of Neurology and Annals of Clinical & Translational Neurology (ACTN).

The Annals of Neurology has an impact factor of 10.244, ranking it 5th out of 193 journals in clinical neurology.  The Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology is an online-only, open access journal with an impact factor 4.649. Both peer-reviewed publications are official journals of the ANA and the Child Neurology Society, and are published monthly by Wiley.

“Our goal at Annals of Neurology is to publish papers that professors of neurology will want to cite to their residents on morning rounds,” said Editor-in-Chief Clifford B. Saper, MD, PhD. “This focuses the editors on both the scientific rigor of the papers, as well as the impact we expect them to have on the field of neurology.  The most accessed papers, cited below, are examples of this type of work.”
