Sept. 19, 2012 – The American Thyroid Association (ATA) today announced that it will offer specialized educational programming for fellows attending 82nd ATA Annual Meeting, in Québec City, Québec, Canada. Fellows can choose from one of three of tracks—clinical, basic science, or surgical—specifically designed to enhance their knowledge of thyroid disease and further their professional development.
“The ATA Fellows Program is an excellent opportunity for fellows to learn more about thyroid disease and disorders while experiencing the collegiality of the ATA,” said Stephanie A. Fish, MD, of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and Andrew Gianoukakis, MD, of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA co-chairs of the clinical track.
The ATA Fellows' Educational Program is open to all registered Annual Meeting Fellows and runs concurrent to the Annual Meeting program. Specialized programming, led by an international faculty of distinguished researchers and clinicians, includes case studies, career information, and, for clinical fellows, an ultrasound course.
