Newswise — WASHINGTON, D.C. (Aug. 18, 2020) – Anthony Fauci, MD, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), will participate in a special live episode of the podcast “Healthy You: Surviving a Pandemic” on Aug. 19. The conversation on COVID-19 will be streamed online through the George Washington University (GW) Facebook page from noon to 1 p.m.

Frank Sesno, director of the GW School of Media and Public Affairs (SMPA) and host of the podcast, will kick off the discussion with Dr. Fauci. Lynn Goldman, MD, MPH, the Michael and Lori Milken Dean of the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health (Milken Institute SPH), Barbara L. Bass, MD, Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean of the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Silvio Waisbord, PhD, director of the GW SMPA, will also participate in the conversation about COVID-19 as well as about leading and communicating during times of crisis.

The podcast “Healthy You: Surviving A Pandemic” is a co-production of the GW Milken Institute SPH and GW SMPA. Each podcast episode delves into a different public health topic related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
