Newswise — Baylor Scott & White– Round Rock welcomes Suneel K. Vallabhaneni, M.D, as Section Chief of Primary Care Services to lead a growing team of primary care and family medicine physicians.

Dr. Vallabhaneni joins Baylor Scott & White - Round Rock from MidMichigan Health in Midland, MI, where he treated patients in the Department of Internal Medicine. Prior to that position, he was an Assistant Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Central Michigan University Health, Saginaw.

“I look forward to working closely with the talented group of providers, staff and leadership at Baylor Scott & White to provide standardized quality of care, a consistent and reliable experience for patients, and an enjoyable work environment for providers and staff,” said Dr. Vallabhaneni.

Dr. Vallabhaneni is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has held several academic positions in Saginaw, MI at CMU Health, including serving as a Member of the Clinical Competency Committee and Member of the Program Evaluation Committee. He is also a Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP). Additionally, he was Director of Ambulatory clinic, Internal Medicine Residency in Saginaw, MI.

“I enjoy making sure patients understand their diagnosis and include them in all treatment decisions,” said Dr. Vallabhaneni

Dr. Vallabhaneni received his medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College NTR and he completed his residency at Hurley Medical Center in Michigan.

“I’m looking forward to the summers in Texas, mild winters, and the well-known hospitality in the area,” said Dr. Vallabhaneni. “My family and I are excited to make the Austin area our home.”

Dr. Vallabhaneni’s hobbies include spending time with family, listening to music, running, and playing tennis.
