Successful entrepreneurship in the technology field is the subject of a meeting to be held Sept. 18, 1997, at Stanford University, Stanford, Calif.

Jerry Yang, co-founder of YAHOO, the name of the widely successful computer product that facilitates searches on the Internet, will be a guest speaker at the Small Business Forum. The other speaker is Robert Koski, an engineer and businessman who founded Sun Hydraulics Corp. and grew the start up into a firm employing 600 people in the United States, England and Germany.

The Small Business Forum is presented by ASME International (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and aimed at persons who currently own a business or are considering starting one. The meeting is organized as a lively, fully-interactive information exchange, where the speakers impart knowledge and lessons learned regarding the formation and management of a small technology-based company.

Topics to be covered include financing, legal issues, skills implementation, and marketing and advertising. The Stanford University School of Engineering and Business School Center for Entrepreneurial Studies are collaborating with ASME on the forum.
