Newswise — Clarkson University is offering a Business of Energy graduate online certificate program for those in the energy industry or those interested in learning about it.

Developed through a partnership with National Grid and taught by energy industry leaders with many years of combined experience in the field, Clarkson's Business of Energy graduate online certificate program provides participants with a comprehensive view of energy industry-related issues and trends.

The online program is designed for working professionals and recent college graduates seeking to advance their careers in the energy industry and for those in related fields, including law and policy, who want to get up-to-speed on contemporary issues and business principles related to:

- the field of power generation, optimization and distribution - the role of regulatory agencies and the implications of regulation and deregulation- industry trends and changing power markets

The program requires the successful completion of four of six available courses (for a total of 12 graduate-level credits).

Those signing up for the first ten-week class, “Fundamentals of the Business of Energy,” which starts June 13, can save nearly 20 percent on this initial course. Future courses will run continuously in the fall, winter, and spring.
