The National University of Singapore has established a new Centre for Hydrogen Innovations, supported by Temasek, with the aim of creating breakthrough technologies to make hydrogen commercially viable as a green energy source. The first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the new centre will develop capabilities to help reduce reliance on fossil fuels as a source of energy and will also nurture talent for a sustainable hydrogen economy.

Chula Genomics Research Team successfully cracked the genetics codes of Thai people so that rare, chronic, and emerging infectious diseases can be accurately diagnosed, and effectively targeted while reducing public healthcare costs. Most recently, the team found the genetic factors in Thai people that contribute to the severity of COVID-19, as well many other genetic disorders.

The alumni of the Chula Sports Development for the Nation Project have made Thailand proud at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, and at many other competitions over the past three decades – proof of Chula’s commitment to promoting sports excellence and academic mastery among youth.
