Richard Burkhauser, professor of policy analysis and management at Cornell University, will be the keynote speaker at the panel discussion “Poverty and Income in 2011: A Look at the New Census Data and What the Numbers Mean,” hosted by the Brookings Institution’s Center for Children and Families on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

NOTE: Burkhauser will be available for interviews by telephone and at the event.

Burkhauser will be explaining the implications of new data on poverty and family income, which will be released earlier that day by the U.S. Census Bureau.
