As the nation watches and waits to see if Congress can come to an agreement on spending, tax cuts and the “fiscal cliff,” millions are asking what will happen under a variety of scenarios. Will military spending be on the chopping block? Will tax rates increase? And will the nation be plunged back into a recession?

Dr. Memo Diriker of Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is available to speak with reporters on the fiscal cliff and what may — or may not — happen if Congress does not reach an agreement.

Diriker is the founding director of the Business, Economic and Community Outreach Network (BEACON). He has served as an expert on financial matters for media outlets including The Washington Post, Baltimore Sun and Yahoo! News, among others.
