Newswise — Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) has been named to Forbes magazine’s 2016 “America’s Best Mid-size Employers.” LUMC is ranked 52nd and is the only Illinois healthcare provider to make the list. “We consider our staff among the finest in our industry and certainly our most valuable asset,” said Larry M. Goldberg, president and CEO, Loyola University Health System. “We are honored to be recognized by Forbes as a top mid-size employer.” The employers on the Forbes list were chosen based on an independent survey of 30,000 American employees who rated mid-size U.S. firms with more than 1,000 employees in 25 industry sectors, including healthcare and social. Rankings were determined by a score that combined how employees rate their own employer and other employers they would recommend to friends and family members. The study also asked respondents about 30 work-related attributes to provide employers perspectives on the ratings.

The Forbes survey was conducted anonymously through online access panels.
