Newswise — Experts will explore “Global Trade During COVID-19 and the WTO Response,” in a free webinar presented by the Center for Global Business (CGB) at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday, July 27.
Maryland Smith Research Professor and CGB Academic Director Kislaya Prasad and Emmanuelle Ganne of the World Trade Organization will discuss COVID-19’s impact on global trade, WTO's responses worldwide to support the economic recovery and how countries are thinking about the future of trade.
Ganne is a senior analyst in WTO’s Economic Research and Statistics Division, where she leads work on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and blockchain and conducts research on MSMEs, global value chains, services and digital technologies. She recently authored "Can Blockchain Revolutionize International Trade?”
