WHAT: Johns Hopkins Medicine will unveil an $80 million Green Spring Station expansion with a grand opening community health fair on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Pavilion III. The free health fair will feature health screenings, family-friendly demonstrations and refreshments. Tours of the facility will also be offered.

Screenings will include glucose testing, blood pressure screening, head and neck cancer screening, body mass index (BMI) testing, vision checks and hepatitis C testing. In addition, attendees can learn about dermatology, Lyme disease, interventional radiology and the “stop the bleed” campaign, a national awareness campaign aimed at encouraging bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Attendees will also be able to schedule mammogram appointments with Johns Hopkins doctors.

WHY: The community is invited to join Johns Hopkins in celebrating the grand opening of Green Spring Station Pavilion III and expansion of comprehensive health care services including a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center, medical imaging, a musculoskeletal center, and urologic and oncology care.
