There is continued criticism today over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s comments accusing Obama of sympathizing with anti-American interests in the Muslim world. Some say Romney’s comments were premature given the unrest in Libya that led to the killings of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, and reflect his critique of the weakness of Obama's foreign policy. Romney's comments have been criticized by Senator John McCain and a few other Republicans.

There are two questions: whether Romney's challenges to Obama could make foreign policy more of an issue in the campaign, whether Romney's comments help or hurt him in the Presidential campaign.
