Newswise — Neptune, NJ – April 1, 2014 – K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital will host its Superhero Soiree event at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ on Friday, April 4 from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Local singing sensation Jacquie Lee, from NBC’s television program The Voice, will receive K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital’s inaugural “Hometown Hero Award” – a fitting accolade for the 16 year old pop star from Colts Neck, NJ who motivates kids everywhere to follow their dreams.

Inspired also by the everyday heroes at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital – including kids, families and caregivers – the celebration fundraiser will be a fun evening with a serious mission. Proceeds from the event will support pediatric patient care, as well as the children’s hospital expansion, ensuring that the critical needs of the region’s sickest children are met. The expansion includes an enhanced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with four additional private rooms, an inpatient acute care unit with 14 private rooms, and a 25,000 square foot Pediatric Specialty Care Center that provides specialty pediatric services.

“We’re excited to honor Jacquie Lee with K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital’s ‘Hometown Hero Award’. Jacquie is someone who local kids can really look up to. She impressed everyone with her powerful performances on The Voice, and impresses us even more by using her fame positively to raise awareness for the children’s hospital,” says Steven G. Littleson, FACHE, president of K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The Superhero Soiree is generously sponsored by Ralph Clayton & Sons and QualCare, Inc. Tickets are $200 each, and sponsorship and virtual advertising opportunities are also available.
