Purcaro is the chief operating officer and associate director for Finance & Administration at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ. She is responsible for providing financial, administrative and operational leadership for one of the world’s leading centers for theoretical research and intellectual inquiry. Additionally, Purcaro partners with the chief development office in projecting needs and fundraising capabilities to support the strategic plan, and advises and counsels members of the board of trustees on governance issues, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for board operations, while overseeing the daily management of the Institute’s more than 800 acre campus.

“I am honored to join this wonderful group of trustees,” says Purcaro. “JFK University Medical Center is an industry leader in many areas and I look forward to bringing my expertise to the table to help elevate it even further. Purcaro earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Accounting from State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Master of Public Administration from the State University of New Jersey.  She resides in Middlesex, NJ.
