JOB: UC San Diego Seeks Public Info Rep

PUBLIC INFORMATION REPRESENTATIVE Will perform a wide range of media relations, public relations and writing assignments about science, medicine and oceanography for the University of California San Diego. Requires ability to write press releases in journalistic style, produce feature articles about research, and work with members of local and national news media in placing stories for print, radio and TV. Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in science, and ability to translate complex scientific subjects to a lay audience. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
