- Reducing HIV/STIs and promoting sexual health for men who have sex with men.
- Exploring the feasibility of mailing HIV and STI self-testing materials to men who have sex with men of color who use HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in Baltimore City to reduce the need for in-person clinical follow-up visits.

- Researchers why men and women make particular sexual decisions and convey those decisions to their emotional partners
- Promotion of safe relationships
- Prevention efforts to mitigate intimate partner violence, unintended pregnancies, and sexually transmitted infections including HIV.

- HIV, men’s and adult health, and sexual behaviors.
- Internal medicine and infectious disease through practice at Garcia & Giron and major health care institutions across Florida, including the University of Miami Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the Miami Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center.
