Newswise — COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ascena tween retailer Justice is supporting Nationwide Children’s Hospital this Holiday season with its “Believe in Magic, Believe in Justice” campaign running November 1 through January 5, 2019. Justice customers can donate $2, $5, $10 or an amount of their choice at the register in all U.S. and Canadian store locations, with all proceeds benefitting The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Justice is celebrating #GivingTuesday, a globally recognized day of giving, by matching* all in-store customer donations made on November 27.

“The holidays are a magical time of the year, especially at Justice. We are constantly looking for ways to give back and contribute to our community to enhance that energy. We are grateful for our partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital; they embody hope and magic, not just at the holidays, but year round,” said Lece Lohr, president of Justice.

Justice is also partnering with Headbands for Hope this holiday season to create six exclusive headband styles, with one headband featuring the Nationwide Children’s iconic Blue Butterfly that will be available for purchase on shopjustice.com from November 5 – January 5. Headbands of Hope is a company that makes headbands for children with a mission to restore confidence as they go through cancer treatment. To date, they have donated headbands to every children’s hospital in America as well as within 15 other countries.

This holiday, Justice will highlight 8 Patient Champions - Olivia, Claire, Tarissa, Bhoomi, Bhuvi, Chloe, Olivia and Halle – who are the motivation behind the work at Nationwide Children’s, and will be the faces of the 2018 “Believe in Magic, Believe in Justice” Holiday Campaign.

Lohr continues, “This year, we had the opportunity to highlight eight extraordinary girls as our 2018 Patient Champions. They will be featured across our holiday marketing all season long and we can’t wait for you to see it! Their smiles and bright personalities are infinitely contagious.”

In conjunction with the “Believe in Magic, Believe in Justice” Holiday Campaign, Justice is spearheading the “Justice Holiday Heroes” Video Series, featuring a group of amazing girls as they get inspired and find their unique super powers, ultimately receiving a mission to use their powers for good by raising money and bringing awareness to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Follow these Girls with Heart Ambassadors as they are set forth on their mission in the six-week episode video series that debuts on Justice’s YouTube channel mid-November.

“We at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are honored that Justice is supporting the hospital again this Holiday season,” said Niki Shafer, senior vice president, Outreach at Nationwide Children’s. “Each and every season, the Justice team and their customers are so thoughtful to our patients, families and Patient Champions, and we sincerely are grateful for their generosity.”

This is the third-consecutive year Justice has partnered exclusively with Nationwide Children’s during the Holiday season in an effort to raise funds for The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s. Last year, Justice and its customers raised nearly $1.5 million in nine weeks. Over the past five years, Justice has raised nearly $5 million for The Research Institute.
