Newswise — CHICAGO (October 19, 2016): The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) membership elected Karion Gray Waites, DNP RN BC-FNP CRRN, to serve as president-elect of the association for the 2016-17 year. Karion took office at ARN’s recent REACH 2016 Educational Conference and Expo, held September 28 – October 1, in Philadelphia. She has been an active member of ARN for 27+ years, having served on the Board of Directors and various committees.
Karion currently is Nurse Practitioner at Spain Rehabilitation Center-UAB, in Birmingham, AL. As President-Elect, Karion states, “I am committed to the advancement of rehabilitation nursing practice as a doctrine to be rendered in all healthcare settings.”
