Astrophysicist and Artist Wife Boldly Go Where Few Couples Have Ventured Before

Astrophysicist Gregory L. Matloff and his artist wife, C Bangs, are working on projects that are as far out as you can get without actually leaving the planet. Their latest work, Living Off the Land in Space, co-authored with NASA's Les Johnson, is due in bookstores next month. Targeted to both scientists and the general public, it looks at in-development propulsion systems that propel spacecraft with little or no need for on-board fuel.

Blind City Tech Student from Afghanistan to Compete in New York City Marathon
