From the authors: "Taken together, circulating [dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4)] is upregulated in obese rodents, and its downregulation improves hepatic insulin resistance likely by modulating insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 3, rendering adipose DPP4 as a new therapeutic target in hepatic insulin resistance."

This study is highlighted as one of March's "best of the best" as part of the American Physiological Society's APSselect program.
