Authors: Cassidy Delaney, Pavel Davizon-Castillo, Ayed Allawzi, Janelle Posey, Aneta Gandjeva, Keith Neeves, Rubin M. Tuder, Jorge Di Paola, Kurt R. Stenmark, Eva S. Nozik

From the authors: “Our data provide evidence that platelets are increased in the lungs and activated in mice with hypoxia-induced inflammation and provides rationale for the further study of the potential contribution of platelets to inflammatory mediated vascular remodeling and [pulmonary hypertension].”

This study is highlighted as one of February’s "best of the best" as part of the American Physiological Society's APSselect program.
