The Presidential Recordings Program is an ambitious effort to transcribe, annotate, and interpret more than 5,000 hours of the secret White House recordings of Presidents Roosevelt through Nixon. Between 1940 and 1973, six American presidents from both political parties recorded thousands of meetings and telephone calls.
