Newswise — Montclair, N.J. - (March 1 , 2021) – Mountainside Medical Group has announced that Mina Le, M.D., has joined the practice  in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Le is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  Her care philosophy is based on listening closely to her patients to learn how they are personally affected, explaining in accessible language to help them make sense of their condition, and empowering them to choose among treatment options.  "I aim to offer a professional opinion and then let the patient dictate their course of care based on their values."

Coming to Mountainside from a full-time faculty position at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Le brings over six years of experience in the practice of general otolaryngology, which includes caring for patients with a wide range of conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat (commonly referred to as ENT). She is particularly interested in addressing cancers and other tumors of the thyroid, parathyroids, mouth, throat, salivary glands, and skin of the head and neck.

“Our mission is to provide our patients with the finest medical care possible,” says Tim O’Brien, chief executive officer.  “Issues of the ear, nose and throat greatly affect how we interact with the world around us. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Le to Mountainside Medical Group.

Dr. Le received her medical degree at Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of Minnesota and fellowship in head and neck surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Her awards and honors include the Melvin E. Sigel Resident Teaching Award, the Minnesota Medical Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award, the Alpha Omega Alpha Resident Award, the "Attending of the Year" award at the Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education, and the title of "Blue Ribbon Physician" at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ.

In her personal time, she enjoys Scrabble tournaments, crochet, literary reading and creative writing.
