Newswise — UC San Diego’s upcoming Patient Safety Conference, “New Technologies to Patient Care: The Promise and the Peril” will be held Thursday, February 16, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Medical Education and Telemedicine Building located at 9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093.

Conference topics include: innovations in surgery, radiation oncology, simulation training and telemedicine; robotic pharmacy; how to utilize technology to educate patients; risk management; and a look at the future with Calit2.

The Patient Safety Conference is held every two years, with a target audience of physicians, nurses, therapists, technologists, pharmacists and other healthcare providers who are committed to leveraging technology to improve patient safety.
